Established in 2004, One Health is an independent healthcare provider, delivering free, high-quality services to NHS patients referred by their GP’s, under the ‘patient choice’ initiative established in 2011. We support the four highest demand outsourced specialties – Orthopaedics, Spine, General Surgery and Gynaecology.
Our focus is on providing free, fast, local, expert care for NHS patients who may otherwise have long waits for treatment, simultaneously helping the NHS tackle the record waiting list. We typically provide access to a consultant within weeks of being referred, and our average waiting time for surgery, where required, is between six and twelve weeks from the first consultation.

Unique to our business model, most of our services are provided within the community, close to the patients home, through one of more than 30 ‘outreach clinics’, complemented by our network of local physiotherapy rehabilitation services. As a result, our patients only need to travel to one of our hub hospitals should they require surgery, reducing their travel time per episode of clinical care.
We have expanded the delivery of our services into South and West Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicester, Derby and Lincolnshire and are exploring additional geographies where patient demand is high, and the local healthcare provision is limited or at capacity.

Utilising the services of over 100 NHS consultants and anaesthetists, and a network of hub hospitals, in a typical year we treat 12,000 new NHS patients, deliver 30,000 consultations and carry out 6,000 operations. One Health is a fundamental part of the NHS supply chain for over 60 regional commissioners.

One Health was listed on Aquis in November 2022 to support our growth strategy to develop new, owned operating theatre capacity through the development of regional surgical hubs. We are Profitable, cash generative and dividend paying.
