Andy Vaughan presents his e-book, Pigs Get Slaughtered

Author, Andy Vaughan

Andy Vaughan is a qualified Landscape Architect and Novelist. He worked in landscape design for many years in the UK, both in the public sector and as a Director of a private consultancy, before moving to Japan. He first came to Japan on a government scholarship and moved there permanently around sixteen years ago. He currently lives in Tokyo with his wife and two sons.

Andy became interested in stock market investing more than twenty years ago and it was this fascination with the world of private investing that became the inspiration for his recently published novel, Pigs Get Slaughtered. The book is a financial crime thriller set in London and is told from the perspective of a full time private investor.

Book Synopsis

You need to be a certain type to make it as a successful trader, but you don’t need to work in the City. Alex had proved it to himself over the last three years working from a desk in his London bed-sit.

When hedge fund manager, Jamie Sinclair, invites him to join him in a new investment, it feels like the opportunity to step up to the big league. However, it turns out instead, to be an introduction to the darker side of the financial markets. The place where greed and manipulation tilt the game in favour of those unknown who lurk in the shadows.

Alex must use all his skills to unravel the complex web of deception and there’s more at stake than just a quick profit. What begins as financial research turns into a quest for the truth that takes him across the globe.

In the world of finance, you need to know who you’re dealing with. The breathless conclusion reveals exactly what lengths they’ll go to, to hide their identity and cover up their crimes.

During the course of the next ten years, Sam and Eoin’s paths crossed on numerous occasions, working intermittently with each other on a joint venture basis until they formally went into business together in 1992.
