Company Presentation – Transense Technologies

Transense Technologies plc (AIM: TRT) is a developer of specialist sensor technology and measurement systems.  The Company has two active business divisions:

  • Translogik, development and supply of smart connected tyre inspection and management solutions to some of the worlds best known tyre manufacturers, service centres and fleet operators helping them reduce costs whilst improving compliance and vehicle safety
  • SAWsense, development and supply of Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) sensor technology, that is used by leading global businesses in aerospace, automotive, robotics and industrial machinery to improve performance, reliability and efficiency 

These two business divisions have strong growth prospects that are underpinned by residual royalty income from Bridgestone iTrack a tyre condition and performance monitoring system, that was developed by Transense and subsequently licensed to Bridgestone Corporation for a ten-year period in 2020, expiring in 2030.Transense is headquartered in Oxfordshire, UK, and was admitted to trading on AIM, a market operated by the London Stock Exchange (AIM: TRT), in 1999.  The Company’s leadership team, senior management and strategy have changed in recent years, with a clear focus on value creation through the delivery of sustainable revenue growth from its business divisions. Nigel Rogers, Exec Chairman

Nigel joined the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director in July 2015 and became Non-Executive Chairman in February 2020. He took the lead in licensing the iTrack system to Bridgestone Corporation, together with the sale of the associated operating business and assets.

On completion in June 2020, Nigel was appointed as Executive Chairman of Transense and joined the board as a Non-Executive Director of ATMS Technology Limited, the Bridgestone subsidiary responsible for the global deployment of iTrack.

He has more than twenty years’ experience in leading AIM-listed engineering companies, including as Group CEO of both Stadium Group plc (now part of TT Electronics plc) and 600 Group plc. He is also currently Chairman at Solid State PLC and Chairman at Surgical Innovations Group Plc. His early career was as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in the U.K., Latin America and the Middle East.

Ryan joined the board as Business Development Director in December 2021 and was appointed as Managing Director in 2024.

Ryan is an award-winning engineer and business leader with more than 20 years’ experience in the high-performance, heavy-duty and off-highway automotive markets.

Prominent in the development of power electronics, electric motors and drives (PEMD) for these demanding applications, he has successfully founded, scaled and sold three businesses in the electric vehicle space.

He is also CEO of eTech49 Limited, an advisory business specialising in disruptive hardware technology in PEMD. In addition, he is Chairman of EV North, an industry group representing the booming electric vehicle industry in the north of England, a Board member of the North East Local Enterprise Partnership and an advisor to a number of corporations.

This is typically provisioned through a recurring software as a service model.

Generating a great proportion of its revenues from recurring services through Software as a Service (SaaS) and Clock as a Service (ClaaS) provisioning is part of Newmark’s overarching strategy which is dedicated to building a business that has long-term stability and sustainability at its core.

Marie-Claire Dwek was Marketing Director of Newmark Technology Limited (specialised electronic security systems) 1996-2000, responsible for the planning, leadership and strategic marketing. Between 2002–2013, Marie-Claire was responsible for the management and investment in various property portfolios for Motcomb Estates and joined Newmark Security as Chief Executive Officer in 2013.

Paul is a Chartered Accountant, having qualified with KPMG in 1999, and has over 20 years of experience working in finance in the technology and media sectors. Paul was previously Chief Financial Officer of Brave Bison Group plc (AIM: BBSN), a digital media and technology company, and Chief Financial Officer of Warner Bros. TV Production UK. Prior to those appointments, he was Group Financial Controller of Shine Group, an international television production and distribution group and Interim Group Financial Controller at Channel 4. Most recently, he has been Interim Chief Commercial Officer of CognitionX, a technology company in the events space.
